Lots of shit is hitting the fan at the moment over the Bits competition at Sundown.
As you all know, I was planning on taking the best entries from our Bits tribute competition;

There are several undeniable facts.
BITS have released something like 80 - 120 productions over the last 6 years, they have never improved.
They ignored all comments about thumbing up their own work, cheap file hosting and general comments about the lack of improvement of their work.
Solo posts random crap in the One Liner and made a constant nuisance of himself to the Pouet admins.
Solo submits his prods to parties and actively tries to disrupt party organisers by claiming that they refused to show his shit demo at their comp.
Solo tries to charge people 3 euros per demo.
It is the perfect behaviour of a troll, or I suspect a group of about 3 or 4 well known sceners (I have my ideas who they are) who release this crap.
Rc55 got an email of Herman Samso asking him to stop the BITS tribute comp or face legal action.
Amazingly the comp has been stopped after certain people called the comp a way of singling out and picking on a scener, conveniently ignoring the truth that this collective of people have been trolling the fuck out of the scene for the last 6 years.
The Jury is out, Is Solo really some fucked up idiot living in Gran Canaria or is he a bunch of Well known German? and Dutch? Sceners having a joke at the whole scene's expense?
I really don't know if the entries will be shown at Sundown but I will take them.
If Solo emails me and threatens me, as far as I am concerned I will see him in court.

Right on, it's about time somebody took a stand against this sort of bollocks! It's called 'parody' and is totally legal.
Heck, if I can throw together something shit for you tomorrow, I'll happily contribute to the cause!

I am going to take the entries to Sundown, I have no control if they will be shown, but its a laugh anyway so enjoy coding them guys.

Well, if coding buggy programs is legally owned by Solo, then I guess I've breached copyright every time I've tried to learn a new coding language.
It's fun though, and I can see the parody aspect is the main feature of the current competition.

I believe Solo to be a collaberation between three people (one german and two dutch), but I might well be wrong, pure guesswork really.
Nobody can be as bad as Solo unless by design.

Of course this would have absolutely nothing to do with BITS. And we could make sure that that is stated everywhere.
