I was browsing the $1.00 (us) section of my local used book store and came across Programming Principles in Computer Graphics (http://openlibrary.org/b/OL1347413M/Programming_Principles_in_Computer_Graphics) by Leendert Ammeraal.
I snatched it up quick. It has a ton of techniques for 2D and 3D graphics and it is the first book I have come across that is actually understandable. I am going to use some of the techniques in my FB graphics framework. Well worth picking up.
BTW, I updated the Open Library (http://openlibrary.org/) link above with the cover and TOC and back cover description.

This looks like it covers all the things that a programmer would need to write a software 3D engine, what a nice find.
I remember looking around for a book that covered these topics several years ago and drawing a blank.
