Title: Lynn's Legacy
Post by: cha0s on July 21, 2006
Lynn's Legacy is an independent 2d action RPG, inspired by the likes of Secret of Mana,
the Soul Blazer series, and the first three Zelda games.

The story follows the character of Lynn, a ball 'n chain wielding mercenary who
wakes up in a small forest clearing after being blown out of the sky on a
mysterious escort mission. She has almost no recollection of the events leading
up to this point, and things only get stranger-- Portals leading to entirely new
dimensions, strange encounters with sentient seeds, and an odd spectre of a man who
calls himself Moth...

This is a project we've been working on for several years (since about mid-2003),
though 'serious' development on what became the current version hasn't been going on
quite as long. (Started Feb. 18th, 2005.)

After an extremely stressful few months, seemingly endless testing, and hearing
that damned dungeon song for the millionth time, it's all finished.
Eight dungeons, four overworld areas, five chapters...

This was a very difficult project to complete.
We hope you enjoy the final product.

I've not had this much fun playing a game for a very long time.

Great stuff and all the very best,

Do you mind if I add this to the showcase Cha0s? It'll get more downloads that way. It's a cool game! Well done man.

AHhhhhhh!!!! It's finally here!!
I had played the demo a long time ago, totally amazed by the animations, and the gfx, story, gameplay seemed appealing too. Now I am gonna download this and waste my day (maybe not (today), because yesterday I got motion sickness from Oblivion and I want to rest from games and code something today. Maybe tomorrow :)

I'll write my full comments soon..

As I wrote in the quickbasic forums, I got those crash bugs too at the second dungeon. Though, I was brave enough in the morning to try playing again and no crashes occured. I hope this is only a problem of the second dungeon and not a general problem so that it doesn't happen again if you move further in the game. I was playing for 6 hours and now I have to stop because I am too tired. That's how addictive your game is :). I am now in the dungeon with the plants (damn big dungeon, going here and there, I am tired..) and maybe I'll continue tomorrow (I want to do something more creative like coding or writting some articles, though I am preety much addicted to games recently ;P). What I really like in the game is of course it's gfx/animations, but mostly the dialogues and humor. Ahh, another great basic RPG. Sometimes I am quite impressed how good game designers the basic scene has (and all inspired to do yet another anime zelda clone ;). Thanks again for the great game!

Wow, very nice, and I remember playing this before. Though it was a long time ago. I'm going to play through it later, for sure.

I'm completely stuck in the first dungeon... I've taken the special key, gone to the locked room, and walked around everywhere but I don't understand what to do. A little help would be appreciated :)
