Title: [LIQUID] FWLS

Floating Wavy Liquid Simulation

Just a very simple effect, I wasn't sure whether to post it at all... Trying to move towards something more interesting than a starfield & a sine scroller caused some headaches. Oh well, figured a little contribution would show that there are still people interested (if mostly lurking!) in DBF - being inspired and hopefully learning. ;-)

Cheers!

It doesn't like Windows 7 much but it did run :)
Very fast too but the effect was still cool.
Thank you for entering the challenge, it gives me hope that people are still here (even if in the background) and still interested in this kind of thing :)

That is a neat little effect. Well done.

I was a bit worried it might not play nice with Windows 7 (or Vista for that matter), as I tested it only on couple of XP machines. I did test it on a decade old box that had 3dlabs graphics card and since it worked smoothly there, I hoped it'd do okay elsewhere.

Thanks for the encouraging comments!

I am using Vista 64 and it worked fine for me.

Nice and smooth motion, speed is slowish for me but it looks just right!

I like the apparent level of chaos which can be difficult to do in programming.

It's like looking at a real-time radar map of the open ocean.
