Hi,
this is a little cracktro using a fur-effect written for team faint.
First presented as party version on breakpoint 2010.

Enjoy and give me some feedback plus a thumb-up on pouet (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=54611), if you like this one :)

Nice work! However the intro looks in real much better as the screenshot does! The rotating textured box does not rotate really smooth here. Possible due fact of something like VSync off? All the other stuff works runs very smooth and looks very nice to me! Havent i saw this intro at the BP2010 compo?
Where do you learned how to code effects like those scroller or fur effects? Thumb up for the nice work!

Hi va!n,
thanks for the feedback. I'll check the vsync issue as soon I get some spare time to look at the sources again.
Yeah - I took the cracktro with me to Bingen last week and it was shown in the pc demo compo as I wasn't able to do it in 64k.
About some shader skills: After I made my way through the black art of 3d game programming (http://www.dpfiles.com/dpfileswiki/index.php?title=Black_Art_of_3D_Game_Programming:_Writing_Your_Own_High-Speed_3D_Polygon_Video_Games_in_C) and lighthouse's glsl tutorial (http://www.lighthouse3d.com/opengl/glsl/) I was excessively mentored by a very well known haujobb member who is quite active in this forum afaik :)

Great cracktro. The scroll is a bit hard to read - but effect-wise it is simply great.
Well done!

That is pure essence of cracktro.
Maybe it's the tune you used that elevates it even more but I have to say that I love it.
Thanks for posting it! The fur effect is brilliant.

Indeed, great fur effect and music give it a nice mood.
The background cube rotation is jerky as Vain said.
(ps: thumbup added ;) )

Simply amazing. Good stuff.

rocks!!!! very nice backgroung stuff :)

I thought I had replied to this really good intro.
One thing I found is that it's a little bit costraphobic, in that most of it is a bit too close to the camera, I think if you set it back a bit you could read the cool scroller effect. Though a lot of scrollers aren't meant to be read!
I don't think it's possible to give you a thump on pouet net, so I'll give you a thumb instead if thats ok dude ;)
