This has taken me entirely too long. I wrote the water sim back when the comp was first posted, and have just put the finishing touches on it today!
Hope you like it!

The source code for this demo is available here (http://www.dbfinteractive.com/forum/index.php/topic,4748.0.html)

Watched it all! ;)
very cool and clever stuff dude. Nice design.

"lomedux.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvinience." :(
I'll try this on my laptop. Stupid second hand junk desktop piece of junk.
-
Awesome work, Jim. Runs smooth even on my crappy laptop!
-
Hi CK - needs some kind of pixel shader support, but nothing cutting edge. Other than that it needs a bit of cpu grunt. If it does end up failing for more people can you let me know if you're on ATI or nVidia? Ta!

Crashes here too (although the sample keeps playing, which makes me want to see it even more!) -- Intel GMA fingy, so that'll be why.
-
Hahaha. Brilliant.
I watched it all the way through to see if it would flood the bathroom, it was even more inspired that you let the water out in the end.
Nice one Jim!

Excellent entry! I love rubber ducky's, gotta love the music as well! :)
And I just have to 2nd your comment towards Sony for removing the other OS feature, what were they thinking? :whack:
-
I was wondering if it would run on my Mac, and it does :D
Lovely, and you can't beat a demo that has Ernie singing to his rubber duckie.
-
Two words: Great entry!
-
Pretty nice! Really good funny idea and well done.
Only minor problem is that it slowdown (2 or 5 fps I guess) when water is drained on greets part, and get back to normal when sending f*ckings to Sony :)
-
Okay, that is just strange. In a good way. :)
-
This is a very funny entry with hilarious song :)

Mine is an Intel Pentium 4 rated at 2.40GHz with 2GB of RAM. I have an NVIDIA GeForce MX 420 graphics card. I've still not managed to get my wife off the laptop, so I'll try that before I pick my votes.
-
Sorry man, cpu is fine but it's not going to run on a GeForce MX because they don't have any pixel shaders.

Fun rubberduckie :D Love all about the bathroom scene. Where are the towels
-
It sort of runs fine on my laptop.
The contrast between the text and the bath contents makes the text near unreadable while it is moving, but that may be down to the cheap screen I put on it after the original was cracked.
I did enjoy the range of 3D rendering in there - I'm guessing there were no bitmaps involved, other than textures. The wavy bobbing up and down of the ducks was particularly convincing, and the level of background detail was superb.
