I just got my copy of MS VS Express form our fine dude Hellfire (sent via air mail).  I was ready to regress back to devcpp since MSVS express, codeblocks and codelite are very hefty downloads.

Hellfire sent it to me using his own money. I could only assume, but I believe it costed him more than he wanted since I live in Asia.

I do have MSVS express 2k5 but it doesn't have the platform SDK.

Sorry for the late reply guys, I got hospitalized 6 hours after posting this thread (food poisoning) and just came back home yesterday so I didn't have time to post back.

I got SDL to work and a pure windows based opengl window seems to work.

I can't make SDL+OGL or GLFW+OGL to work though.

I've started using it myself and it seems quite beastly.
