As the majority of people wanted to stick with SMF I am going to try and upgrade it to the next release candidate

(once I am satisfied that it's safe - the site has been patched a lot by me so it may not be straight-forward)

Any thoughts on how the site should look?
I was thinking something lighter?

do you want use an existing theme or do you want/plane a new/own design/theme?

If you want use an existing theme, a link to available themes would be nice, so ppl can take a look and choose / vote ;)

I'm just wondering whether people here think we should have a lighter look.

I am thinking of upgrading us to SMF RC5, but a lot depends on wheither it will still work with all the modifications I've made

I like something like the "lite green" something colourful but not too much.
At the beginning of the dark theme ... I was really embarrassed (or another word that I can't remember) but after some time it was ok (I am forced too :p)

You are the darkest site that I am going on ... and the rest of my OS theme is much more colourful ;)

I like the current dark look/theme. It's the Dark Bit Factory, the theme fits perfectly imho.  ;)

I prefer a dark theme, the current one works for me and the suggested Intimidator theme looks nice too.

But then it's not a theme I found anywhere, I just hacked the default theme and saved a copy of it in this state.

A similar effect with other colours may be interesting, depending on the colours.

I love the dark too. Back when it changed from blue to black it took me like 10 mins to lose all my emotional attachments to the blue and say "I'm cool with this look". Its very easy on the eyes.
All I really want is a webpage that loads fast and thats one thing this place has always been able to offer.

Actual theme is quite nice, Clean and easy on the eyes.
