Post by: Hotshot on March 26, 2011
On XP......I know all the files of it which isnt problem....

Now then on Window 7......I got those files such AppData...and inside the Appdata Folder

I got

Local
Locallow
Roaming

What is Roaming folder for?

All those three folder that I am unsure of because when come to UNSTALLED games......how can I be sure if the Game is FULLY unstalled when sometime game folder does go in all three folder.....Why that?

P.S. I am not expert of window 7 but what I would say....I do know about computer thing or two  ;)

The latest version of CCleaner may be able to help:
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

If you run a file analysis by clicking on the "Analyse" button on the first screen, it may reveal some redundant files in these folders, that is if it has been set up to check them in Windows 7.

I'm not sure, as I haven't run CCleaner for Windows 7, but it could work. Please try it, and let us know.

I have seen that virus goes in Roaming too :D

Roaming is served for some configuration files (I think we can see Firefox in it ... a Microsoft folder too).

And note: The temporary forlders (called TEMP) have a special rules: We are never cleaned (yes, Microsoft know exactly what the temporary word means)

A bit off topic, but is Game Booster really useful (and working) ?
