Here's my effort for the destruction competition.
Believe it or not, my entry was planned to be a sim of a teaspoon cracking an egg. And it ended up as this...

It runs at a unsteady 17-23 fps on my Celeron 2,66GHz, thx for dissing it in the scroller. Now it's pouting. :D
Anyway, nice sim and unusual idea! Cool. (...and it's cute and was done in Blitz. Uh oh. ;))

Thanks for making me feel really good about my computer!
The counter was showing 90fps.
It was really cool to switch to wireframe mode and watch it rippng apart. And K+ for the fuckings in the scrolltext too :)

Awesome cloth sim, cool to be able to switch to the wireframe as well. :kewl:
Before I was into programming I remember waiting for what felt like ages for the cloth module for the 3d software I use. Awesome stuff to just write your own (and in such a short time). There's a big market for writing plugins apart from the community credits of course. Ever thought of doing a plugin for something or another?
Anyhoo, impressive stuff, I really like it!

The wireframe gives a clear idea of how to attempt to recreate the effect.
My ancient laptop was just managing 22-30fps, but it looked smooth enough here.
Watching the images of the animals gradually tear apart is cool - I don't find tearing apart real animals cool, I just don't like any animal that treats my garden as a toilet (some of the species appeared in there).

impressive stuff here!
everything runs in the range 38/58fps on my poor 1.66GHz Core2Duo and intel gfx.
thumps-up for credits/fuckings! ;)

Between 9 and 15 fps on my netbook, so you guys with more are supercomputing! I had to sim the faster rates and watch in slowmo!

Great idea, missed half the text when I started to press F6 trying to figure out how it was all happenin so I've had to rewatch it. Excellent stuff
-
Nice effect!
This scroller fooled me, I thought it would became smoother at some point but it does not :)
-
Runs at 90fps for me. I seems to have some permanent missing triangles/sections all the while tho. Scroller is very jerky
-
Nice one, Jim. Runs at ~43fps here.
