Title: Making of Numb Res by CNCD & Fairlight
Post by: Xetick on May 10, 2011
Found this little gem (http://directtovideo.wordpress.com/2011/05/03/numb-res/). It's a bit too good not to share for anyone that wants to read how a current state of the art demo is created.

It explains some of the details that went into creating Numb Res (http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=56900) that got 2nd at The Gathering 2011. Featuring a realtime SPH fluid simulation that handles 500'000 particles with collision, shadowing and shading using only DirectX9.

I really like Numb Res and the blog is an interesting read - would be cool if there was a follow up to explain the methods that were used here to transfer energy through so many loosly related particles.

Those realtime fluid effects are awesome! thanks for the link, a bit too clever for me.
