Nice and fast!
-
Thanks for entering the competition Graham, it's definitely worth you taking part because it will help you to learn new stuff.
Pretty cool and a nice song too.
-
Sorry to tell, but I get this error message right at the start:

-
This is the version I have (hotshot sent to me on msn) and it works here.. ?
-
Just noticed that the zip needs to be extracted for this to wrok for some reason.
-
it work fine when i click shockwave links :)
-
Sorry, Shockwave's version doesn't work either.
I extracted the whole archive.
-
First download gives me same access voilation, second one shockwave posted works but there's a message about a bad ref in the console window, not sure if there's ment to be something in the centre of the cube?
-
I got the same warning message, but if you start it again without closing the windows it seems to run fine. Like tinDragon said though, there's something inside the cube which I'm not sure if it's supposed to be there.
Nice demo! Would've liked a scroller to fill up the screen though!
-
Bloody pc of today that some work and some doesnt ......typical pc eh?
Bring me Amiga computer any day of year and I bet ya the demo will work without any problem whatever!!! LOL
thanks for feedback and when the wireframe competions finished and i going improve it :)
-
Both versions don't work for me. They crash with the access violation message. :( But the tune is nice!
And the credits.txt file is epic (K+ for that), though Press Escape when U see the shit! lol
didn't work either. ;)
-
The music is a conversion of the C64 song "The last V8" the original was by Rob Hubbard but the conversion was done by 4-Mat I think.
-
I haven't been able to get this working at home - the access violation message appears every time. I will try again at work.
-
I was able to get it to run on Debian through WINE.
I think there is potential in this one, I'd like to know what the mystery shape in the middle is supposed to be.
What tools were used in the creation?
-
Ok, I finally got it to run when loading the process in good ole W32DASM!? Weird. - Nice cube, but yeah what's that stuff in the middle of it. A hidden message? ;)
-
I wondered what was inside the cube too. It looks a bit like a sword to me.
-
It's a little tempremental to get it up and running!
But Nice effort and nice to see something from ya Hotshot!
-
Yup. Nice entry, Hotshot. Shockwaves version did run on my PC. Also wondering what that thingie inside the cube is?
-
I set it to run in XP SP3 compatibility mode on my W7 x64 setup, which avoids the Access Violation.

Interesting. I am on XP and get that message. It's a mystery. Just like the thing inside the cube, which Hotshot obviously doesn't want to tell us about. Maybe we should combine this thread with ck0's Secret Messages thread. I smell a huge conspiracy. ;D Illuminatus! :whack:

Hello all,
It is error of mine when I was making the Cube......sorry about that as will be fixed when I improve it :)

I ran the symbols through my decoder after I got the program working here, but I read nothing ;) - Graham has invented a better code than I have :D
Nice and simple design, I do like the way the cube rotates about multiple axis. Very smooth.
-
Funny thing that it refuses to work with my WinXP but runs fine in Wine/Linux :)
