Now I have recivedsome better data when it comes to multimonitor usage and the virtual desktop sizes so the Plane9 stats (http://www.plane9.com/plane9/stats) page has been updated with this.
In short it seems like about 13% has multiple monitors and the most common setup is dual 1920x1080 monitors.
