Take a look at this advert for Javascript programmers... Really nice to see demoscene cited as a desirable skill in a job ad from a quite well known company;
http://company.zynga.com/about/jobs/software-engineering/senior-javascript-engineer (http://company.zynga.com/about/jobs/software-engineering/senior-javascript-engineer)
If I wasn't already in gainful employment as a coder I'd be tempted to take a look at this :)

Pretty cool to see respect for a demo coder in the position.
I'd probably take it if I didn't consider web programming the basis of all evil. :)

Yeah, I work in the online game industry, too - and a lots of colleagues are demosceners. However, this counts only for guys older than 30. Most juniors I met do not know the demoscene anymore :-(

If it were based a little closer to home, I'd go for it.

Btw, HTML5 in terms of job scouting is becoming more and more popular:
Jobtrends (http://www.indeed.com/jobtrends)
So, there might be some cool offers also around your area ;-)

That's quite a steep rise - things are looking up. K++

Yep someone from the Atari Scene posted it onto the Atari ST demoscene on facebook. Great for the old demomakers like us :D
For myself, it would be a pleasure to make a try in this kind of company, but life don't let me the opportunity... :-[
