Haha, I like demo's with excessively pompous claims, as you'll notice... all in jest off course! ;D

It's going to be quite an unusual wild entry, without much visual splendor. Really curious how it will be recieved. Lacked mojo all month and binned many uninspired coding attempts. This little teaser thingy was relatively easy and fun to do.

See you all in 5 days, 5 hours and 10 minutes! ;)

If I alter my computer time beyond a certain date, the countdown gives a negative number for the number of days remaining :D

Thanks all! Working on this was strangely calming in between some insanely intense programming sessions to make the deadline for my 1st coding job (alright technically my 2nd ;D). We missed it by a couple of feet still, final goes online monday.

The cube is a prototype turned final as time ran out. The idea was to make the cube text loop, but I wish I could've implemented a last minute idea to make the text into a semordnilap/palindrome and play the video sequence interactively both ways...

Anywho, both projects turned out alright but with plenty room for improvement. You can see the other semi-finished product on bruynzeelkeukens.nl (the soccer game in the banner). Wish I had a bit more time to spend on both but I'm relieved it's over now... Kind of proud on the rushed game too!  :kewl:

The music is an mp3 I found on my HD (probably from freesound.org, or soundsnap.com). The style of this demo is mostly inspired by it, normally I try to find music to go with the effects.

The cube was made by taping 8 paper cubes together over 3 perpendicular edges. The paper cubes were kindly made by my semi-anonymous friend and house mate (which helped on the plawesoma font too) after I fumbled up a 3d attempt to cut them, refusing to put pen to paper... :)

I painted it using left over paint from my other housemates 6yo daughter which stays with us sometimes (I spray painted my car with her too ;D).
