A really, really quickly coded < 40kb intro for the DBF UDG Challenge 2013.
Software rendered with some perhaps predictable effects and a looooong scroller.
Not a lot more to add about it really, but considering it's the result of about 5 hours work it's not too bad, even though I had planned something rather more grand I was defeated by my own apathy!!
Anyway I really hope you like it, it was fun finding out how much I have forgotten :)

love it - the tune sparked a nostalgia kick for some other 4mat stuff!
can sympathise with the time aspect too! althought i do also spend all day doing 'business' code, at least i'm writing code in c/c++ and am doing a lot of data manipulation with structs/files etc - rarely gfx though!
-
Thanks Canopy, I really like 4-Mat's small tunes too. It was either going to be Starworkz (the one I used) or Share And Enjoy which I prefer but the playroutine wouldn't play it properly & I didn't have enough time today to fix it.

Wow, totally awesome, especially for a couple of hours work! Very smooth, definitely a podium place in my book!
Cool you managed to enter something at the last minute!
-
Cheers Kirl, you're very kind!

My jaw just dropped through the floor and is currently making it's way to the centre of the Earth - this is amazing.
There's at least five separate effects I can spot, four of which are simultaneous, the music is an excellent choice and the detail is breath taking.

Thanks for the kind comments CK. There are 7 effects, 2 chess funk effects, a blob twister, a filled vector, a scroll, a spectrum analyser and finally a weird screen dissolving effect :)
-
Wow there are so many cool effects!
I recognise the module from somewhere but I cannot remember where...
Nice one, ShockWave!
-
Very nice and colorful. Reminds me of a spectrum demo I once saw, I think it was called bomb or something. That demo was the first thing that popped in mind when you first posted the rules for the compo.

Great job on this mate i really liked it & what a tune you just forget how good 4-mat's tunes are...
I would like to see the version with the share & enjoy tune in too..... ;)
-
Amazing for only 5 hours of coding! In medieval times you would have probably ended up on the stake for witchcraft... :stirrer: ;) Cool stuff!
-
Quite cool. Love the simple 3d and the colors chosen.

Thanks for the nice comments :)

Ah, I'd missed out the dissolve and counted the chess background as a single effect. Good thing I'm still learning.
