Title: A 256 byte intro with music
Post by: Baudsurfer on December 14, 2013
Hello,

I just released an 256-byte intro named Darnit! that has midi music synced to the graphics.
I just tested it on xp sp3, can someone please tell me if it works also for windows 7 please ?
Also interested on feedback. Thank you in advance.

There is also a Dosbox-074 compatible version and a bad quality youtube : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EF3AznFSDA (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0EF3AznFSDA).

P.S. : I was looking to entering the xmas comp on DBF this year but lacked the time to do so.
Greetings

Hi Baudsurfer,

both exes work well on my XP laptop. I'll be able to test it on Windows 7 on Monday.

just tested on my win7 64 with dos box the one marked safe works but not like your video its like a slide show with one or two secs between frames. and the one marked fixed just crashes out.

your youtube one looks awesome though well done mate! k++

It wont run on mine as I guess it is dos base.

Mine is 32bit Win 7 :)

Thank you combatking0, ninogenio and Hotshot for your tests.  Yes, the DOSBox version is really slow. As far as Win7 goes although the 64-bit version cannot run it, I think the 32-bit version should work fine although requiring a shortcut with compatibility mode enabled and XP version checked.

Again if I don't return before Christmas : Merry Christmas ! (looking forward to those X-Mas compo entries)
