Title: Why had the Arcade games Remove from DBF Site?
Post by: Hotshot on January 14, 2014
It is to do with Copyright reason or does cause the DBF Site to crash or people didnt bother playing them?

I think they were removed because nobody was playing them.

I didn't even know they were here. How were they accessed? Were they any good? :)

In the navigation bar (Home, Help, Search, etc) there was a link called "Arcade". There were some good games in there, but they're gone now :(

Any SMF forum can host games though. I've written a handful of SMF compliant games which can save a few high scores, but they're not as good as some of the others available.

Thanks CK, shame I missed them. Are any of yours online to play?

Mine are on my own forum, http://forum.barcodebattler.co.uk but signing up can be tricky if you don't know much about Barcode Battlers as there's an anti-spammer filter which uses questions on the subject. All the answers are on the main barcode battler website though.

If you make an account but find you can't login or create another account, give me a PM on here and I'll tell you how to get around my anti-spam measures - I don't want the work-around to become public knowledge. Or I can just create an account for you if you prefer.

Thanks again CK. I can play them without needing to register it seems (can't save scores though). They're cool! Just having a blast on Spacehunter :)

Thanks. My games are Asteroid Dodger and Retro Tank. Some of my apprentices wrote Freaky Shootout, Grand Prix 2010, Hyper Tank, Jed in Space, Jump!, Mode 1, Shopping Rush, The Last Kingdom, Well Gangsta and Zombie Mania.

The rest of the games were found online.
