Hi everyone!
Here's my entry for the competition, Wire Frame Rain: http://www.barcodebattler.co.uk/fx/wf/wfrain.htm

I can't wait to see what you all have up your sleeves!

Wow ... I am a sucker for wireframes. Love your entry.
Looks like the raindrops are synched to the music? Really cool.
Well done, mate!
-
That's right, the tricky bit was timing it so that the drops hit the water when the harp strings are plucked - but I think it works quite well now.
-
That is really cool to see when rain hit the wireframe.....
That Excellent and show you have done very well on HTML 5!
-
Great stuff, you work so fast! The timing was perfect.
-
Excellent entry, very atmospheric!!
Code looks nice and neat as well, good work there.
Maybe throw in a splash of colour where the drops hit?
Anyway awesome stuff!

I just find out that if you keep it running it in another tab in the background and switch back after a while, you get a torrent of drops all at once, which makes some nice and stormy waves! 8)
Also I'm about halfway through Stormbringer, good plug!
-
Thanks, guys :)
I wasn't sure if this would run slowly or not, but even my old XP laptop runs this at full speed - HTML5 has become quite fast!
I'll look into the colour suggestion, but I thought I'd go for a monochrome wireframe at first, as a homage to the classic PS1 wireframe game, "Vib Ribbon". There should be enough runtime in there to allow for the calculation of dynamic colours.
<plug>Also, I hope you're enjoying the book, Kirl.
I've released it as a paperback, so it should be up on Amazon very soon.</plug>

Using the height values of the points should create a smoothly colored rainbow grid, as a dutchman I can't resist that urge; I feel creatively limited by 16 million colours, what? ;)
I really enjoy reading your book between all the goings on, it was put on hold during the confusing easter times..
-
Easter can be busy - maybe next Lent we could run an egg themed competition :D
-
Good job! runs nicely even on older pc.
-
Cool stuff ck0! Good luck in the contest.
-
Nice work by manually syncing it, works pretty well.
-
instalove with me, wireframe prods always hit me straight through the heart!
simple but effective! great HTML5 entry! runs real smooth on my old notebook!
-
That's so nice, great sync with music.
-
Love the effect. It runs about 14 FPS on my i3 clocked down to 0.9 Ghz, with the profiler running.
-
Cheers guys!

Great job mate a very good idea on this. The music sound's like it should be in Game Of Thrones.....
-
That was really nice, I love the movement of the ripples & the harp music :)
-
Very nice idea and execution with nice music! I like it!
