I personally do like to visit personal sites of demo/game coders. Sometimes they contain
valuable information like sources, tutorial and so on.
Guess you all know such sites ... so feel to add them here.
Here are two site which come into my mind and who are updated quite often for a personal
page:
- Jetro Lauha : http://jet.ro/
- Sol : http://sol.gfxile.net/index.html
And if someone should be interested in stuff I play and experiment with (hi @shockwave ;-) )
feel free to visit : http://www.weltenkonstrukteur.de

I don't have a blog on coding yet, only a greek blog where I sometimes talk about demos here (http://gubuterboy.blogspot.com) then I have a blog with personal thoughts (http://optimus6128.blogspot.com) and maybe I'll get one on livejournal which most demosceners happen to use and there I may open a more coding and demo oriented one in english language. I opened the greek only because some greek people didn't liked to read my other blog in english but now I don't use that blog much :P
Also, in the greek blog you will see several links to blogs from sceners in the left corner, some discussing coding too.

Just a little note - I dropped my old page (self written PHP code). I switched over to
Typo3 as a CMS. Was really hard to dive into the technique behind Typo3. Especially
in the beginning it appears to be rather complicated. But in the end I finally twickled
something together.
The design was taken from an original WordPress theme (credits to jide.fr for that).

Weltenkonstrukteur is looking very nice indeed Benny :) Thanks for the links to here too!

Cheers Benny. I just went to your site and its so much better looking than mine. Im crap with css and all that.

@chris:
designing a site is really a pain in the a** especially when you want to make it browser
compatible. I used a wordpress template / design by jide for my site and adapted the
template to use it in Typo3.
But in the end, it's the content which counts. Your blog's subject is rather unique and
I guess you as the blogger is the perfect person for that topic. Hope that you keep your
blog running ...

WHY Blog?
I think it is good to have blog because there will be some people out there want to read your blog to know what you been doing or what you been coding on.
There another good thing why having blog is good because it keep you on toes and making you work harder as when people out there who read your blog and you release a demo or game or whatever then they( people out there) will say HE is the action man who get his JOB done rather than person who is all talk and no actions then the blog would be USELESS to read if Coder couldnt get his job done.
I am sure you all understand or know what I mean.
cheers
p.s. I have blog as well :kewl:
-
Thanks to people who left comments BTW!
-
Nice blog site Chris, I will be checking it out every day ;D, and I understand why you did it, I mean UzjIye spammer guy and lack of image support on in4k.

Added a little subdomain to my site on which I can throw up various
experiments (mostly web-based).

Have a look on it if you like ...

Mostly Win32 remakes of Amiga cracktros. I wish I had time to release some code though... maybe in the near future

Just changed my blog software. Before my site ran with
Typo3 CMS. I really didn't like it - in my eyes it is way too
unintuitive. That's why I finally changed to Wordpress.
I really like it.
New blog running with Wordpress is here:
http://www.weltenkonstrukteur.de (http://www.weltenkonstrukteur.de)
Old blog is temporarily here:

I know I've listed this in a seperate topic, but I thought it might be more useful in here:
http://gbc.barcodebattler.co.uk
Flash 8 / ActionScript 2 Coding site - I have updated the section on the Keyboard in the Guide resource.
-
Here is my wiki site:
http://virtualink.wikidot.com/
-
You have quite a lot of tutorials there Rick :)
Nice one.
-
Thanks man. I am thinking about adding a FreeBasic 101 set of tuts. May help those just starting out.
-
Since I have all this Windows Live stuff on this new computer I thought I would try some of it out and set up a Windows Live space:
http://rickclark58.spaces.live.com/
Just some random stuff there.
-
Since I am not using www.weltenkonstrukteur.de anymore - I created a small
livepage/micro-blog system on a new domain:
http://www.bennyschuetz.com (http://www.bennyschuetz.com)
Atm, it is mostly just a live-site for my tweets. More will be implemented in
future. This time I did not use a system/cms like before - all self-coded.
I use my own framework which bases on Smarty, Zend Framework and jQuery.
-
I started one :)
