Same, it's telling me the form is not secure, so autocomplete has been turned off

Working on a little shooter project, taking inspiration from Phoenix and Galaga. Just something to keep me occupied between jobs :)

Posting via Vivaldi brower; if you can read this then it works :)

I second the support for Filezilla, it works well enough for me. Also, I'm not sure if it works outside of Newgrounds or not, but they have developed their own player to keep their legacy Flash content going, might be of some use to you? https://www.newgrounds.com/flash/player

Hi roptr! There are plenty of resources here for you to take a look at, at, while things are a little quieter around here (especially in the summer months) there will usually be someone here to answer your questions and give pointers. Welcome aboard  :hi:

Day three of lockdown, and the house is already cleaner than it has been in months. Thinking about digging out the ZX Spectrums I'd stashed away for a rainy day.

|How's the rest of the DBF squad coping?

Well, we could make it three hours, but then it'd just be a repeat of the BITS compo  :P

Seeing as we all seem to be a bit busy these days, maybe something quick and easy we can all jump in on?

This sounds a little crazy, but how about a 2-hour compo? Seeing as we (presumably) aren't doing it for a cash prize, and we're all mates around here, I don't see any problem with doing something like this on the honor system? Just a quick 2-hour mess about, see what we can come up with?

That's awesome to know! I've just found a list of 17bit PD disks online which confirms this for me as well.

General chat / Crusaders?

Hi all,

Been a while since I posted anywhere but the Time Game topic, but I was looking for a bit of specialist knowledge that I figured you'd all be able to help me out with.

I'm actually after information on some of Bjorn Lynne's early work, Lynne being better known as Dr. Awesome of the Crusaders. While I've found plenty of footage of their old demos and such like, there's not much info about how they were distributed. Did they start out on cracks (and if so, any games/programs you remember) or were they stand alone productions? I just want to know how they got their footing in the scene. Anyone able to help? Thanks a bunch

I mainly just lurk around, see what everyone's up to. That said, I got my first Spectrum recently, going to get that set up soon and see what it can do :)

Hi moon! You'll find a load of us here started out with Yabasic, and there are loads of programs scattered about in the old threads for you to try out, and various emulators to run them on whatever devices you like. Have fun!

There was a cheat disk you could buy (Action Replay 2) which came with a usb transfer cable and disk so you could transfer saves/new cheats back and forth between console and pc. I discovered this a few years after spending a summer typing in code by hand, naturally :P

My version somehow got corrupted about 6-12 months back, so this is brilliant!

General chat / Re: Recomended web hosting?

Thanks guys, I'm really liking the looks of Xilo, they're definitely one of the more affordable providers I've seen. Just breaking out the old coding books and getting down to work (they're a little out of date, I think they were the 1st HTML4 books to come out!)

General chat / Recomended web hosting?
« on: November 08, 2012 »
Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to set up my first website, and I was wondering if I can pick your brains as regards good webhosts? I don't have any complicated specifications, just the basics:

Reasonably priced
Good up-time
A few free email accounts
Decent customer support/good reputation

are there any hosts I should specifically avoid, or any you think provide the best service?
