Have been looking through this thread and I think, if everyone is still learning/progressing, that I'll tag along. I used C++ a little a few years back when I was involved in, for better or worse, some things  :|| but have gracefully forgotten absolutely everything useful.

I'm a regular PHP developer so the syntax is similar for me. Have been looking through the DX SDK for the past few days and grabbed a couple of eBooks. So will be interesting to see what's possible at a basic level ;)

Using VS 2005.

Aye, pouet seems to bring out the worst in people. I've avoided it for as long as I like to remember, only registered so I could thumb up a b-day intro  :D

I've done bits and bobs in most languages. I just quit my job as a web developer last week so now maybe things won't be as PHP orientated and maybe a little bit more C/ASM. It is like trying to learn to ride a bike again though. For me anyway.

Had a few nice chats with ya around and about EFnet, I think that inferno 4K took it right out of you  :P

All the best with everything you are off to do and we'll keep your spot in the scene warm for when you come back  ;D

have a stepsister down Camarthenshire way, never been though. I'm up north here, Colwyn Bay.

Looking back on it, my pouet request does look like a piss-take but it was supposed to be very serious  ;D. Would love for some of your homeless codies to move in to my place..

Anyway, week off work. Think I'll have a wade around see what's what :)

cheers

Evenin' ;)

Got recommended here after my overly gay request for decent programmers on pouet. Well I'll probably make a similar request here but with a bit of code-monkey background thought I'd have a go re-teaching myself and maybe helping out a little. Who knows.

Noticed Shockwave is in Wales/UK too, well I never.
