Thanks guys for the information and those font files (I've seen them in some demos before)!  Though they're not 8x8, I can at least use them for testing purposes.

Hi everyone,

I ran across this site while looking around on the Internet.  I have been thinking about writing demos possibly on older hardware, but the Raspberry Pi seems like an interesting platform.  Hopefully I will be able to find some free time.
