You could always just use a 3rd party app such as UPX compressor which will make your exe much smaller with little to no overhead when loading.

Hi ikari glad you could join us here  ;D

Have you got any examples of your work to show us mate??

My experience is very limited i`ve only worked with examples from others and changed various things but to create something by myself from scratch i can`t say i`ve actually done yet apart from a sine scroller and some simple windows thats say hello world lol. So although i know my way around code i would have trouble creating something from scratch as my learning has been on/off over last year or so.

Hi all, i started off with an acorn electron when i was 4 (1982 approx) and then on to the commodore 64 a few years later and then got an amiga and joined the piracy scene as a modem trader for Dual Crew  - Shining (DCS) and traded on many top USA bbs sites such as Pirates Haven, The Ghetto, USS Enterprise , Edge of the World, Fast Trax , Danse Macabre to name a few. After 1993 i quit the scene for several years and eventually purchased a PC
and have been in numerous groups such as Hoodlum & Deviance and eventually quit the trading scene to concentrate on programming. Over the last few months i have been concentrating on C++ DirectX but have some experience with Visual Basic .NET C# and a little Delphi but right now am involved in increasing my C++ skills. Am using Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate and compiling many examples from others and learning from there source code.
*EDIT* Forgot to mention i`m from the UK!

Cheers, ikari.  :)
