No, we only had 2 BBC computers in the entire school. (One on each floor of the building) 

My first experience with LAN computing was when I started Senior school & had access to a network of RM Nimbus PCs.

My first BASIC programs were written when I was still at school on a BBC Micro, the routines were pretty short so I would print them out & take them home with me so I could enter them into my Sinclair 48k.

Some years after that I got an Amiga & got copies of AMOS off Amiga Format & CU Amiga Coverdisks.

Both magazines printed a lot of tutorials & I learnt a lot from them.

AVG uses some kind of link scanning technology to check whether the web sites you visit are safe or not.

It's probably interfering with the results that Google generates.

I used to use AVG but stopped when I encountered problems downloading files. I now use Avast!

At last I finally get to see it. 

Over the weekend I got sick of Windows Vista so I tried installing my XP recovery disks on my Vista computer.

Surprisingly it worked & after a few hours of tracking down the relevant hardware drivers, I'm now running XP.

I was getting about 170 FPS from my Intel card.

If it helps any, I'm running Vista on a laptop using Mobile Intel 965 Express Chipset for graphics.

I was wondering whether or not I was missing any dlls so I tried running Dependency Walker on the exe & it said I was missing IESHIMS.dll.

Apparently it's a dll related to Internet Explorer & I'd recently installed IE8 Beta.

So I uninstalled it but still couldn't get the demo to work, sorry.

The image looks good but I can't get the demo to run here. 

When I double-click the exe a window appears & then quickly disappears.

What screen resolution does the demo use because I know my graphics card doesn't like some.

Don't worry, I didn't break it but it still hurts. It was my own stupid fault for going out a day after it had been snowing heavily, I decided to walk to the shop to get the new power supply for my laptop, when I really should have used the bus.

If anyone is wondering where I disappeared off to; my laptop power supply stopped working. 

I then went out to buy a new one, fell over in the snow & injured my arm. 

But my computers working again & I'm back now.

Full-screen mode wasn't supported on my crappy Intel laptop gfx card but I was given the option to view it in Windowed mode.

It looked & worked fine.
