How often do you update?

Not meaning this in the sense we're all androids and need to recharge the batteries.
More on the lines of how often do you update you device drivers, programming languages / software, and Windows etc.

Just out of curiosity too, what version of Freebasic are you using and what are the advantages / disadvantages you found, if any?

I am a luddite and still use fb1.5 because I am lazy.

I only tend to update my drivers when I find that I want to run something and I cant!

Well you just reminded me, I turned off automatic updates for windows a couple of month ago and forgot about updating.

Im using Freebasic V16. Tried V17 and alot of the pointer stuff's been changed.

Welcome back to the net Clyde!

I have all 15,16 and 17 versions of FB installed, since SW's stuff only compiles on 15, 16 is the one everyone uses, and 17 is, IMHO, a mess.

Plus I update Windows the instant there's a patch available.  Can't afford not to.

I've always made sure on installing the Priority Updates - I dont pay much attention to the optionals, but is it advisable to install the recommended ones?

I haven't installed all the font packs, but I've got everything else.  The recommended ones are usually enhancements rather than patches.
