Apple IIe?
« on: December 05, 2007 »

I was just remembering that the Apple IIe was my first expearance in programming. I was elementary school and we wrote in Logo. I remember some really cool games like Oregan Trail, The Rocket Factory, Spellivator, Number Munchers, Pizza To Go ect. Back then games weren't fueled by TV characters and they were educational far beyond telling a kid common knowledge such as shapes and colors. We were learning about angles and pullies and other seeming complex stuff in elementary school.

Any good memories of the IIe? I know most of you go back a bit further than that. I did enjoy the text when it got messed up and turned pink and green. Also I hated LOGO but I would probably give it a whirl now.

Yeah me too, had some IIe's and IIc's (with the crappest keyboard).  It had BASIC built in, but no floppy disk system built in, so I couldn't save my proggies.  It was write them, test them, and lose them.
