I was looking around the internets yesterday to see if there were any tribute versions of Xcom Enemy Unknown and I found a pretty cool tribute called Ufo Alien Invasion, anyway I played that through, the game is pretty good, it has some obvious flaws though.
One of the developers rubbished my ideas for developing it a little (I suggested destructible terrain, but I think that they can't be very good because it's not included in their game engine..) anyway, after being growled at there I got the urge to play X-com.
Lots of sites have it as Abandonware, it could be just downloaded and played on dosbox I guess, but I found something called Steam by Valve.
Steam has loads of classic games available, I picked up a legit copy of Xcom for $5!!!
It runs perfectly too, sound emulation is fine... It was really nice to be re-united with Xcom after all these years and play the game as it should be.
Probably this is old news to most of you but the experience has been a nice one for me.
