I've been messing with my cubic splines library for PureBasic and figured it was ideal formulae for a little screensaver for my work pc when I'm away from my desk.
It's just a simple space battle with a small craft and a mothership but it has kept the lads in the office quite entertained to see who wins each battle.
I intend to keep adding to it so any suggestions or additions would be welcome.
The Death Star doesn't actually do anything at the moment - but it will in later builds.
Just copy the .scr into your windows\system32 folder and choose it as your default screensaver. It has some basic settings to configure such as using 2 monitors, number of stars, mothership and craft damage thresholds which are written to the registry in HKLM\Software\KKSaver\ or HKLM\Software\WOW6432Node\KKSaver on x64 PCs.
It has only been tested on my work PC setup at the moment which is 2x1920x1080 monitors and it runs pretty well across both screens but you can just choose 1 monitor for greater speed.
It's a very early version and there are a couple of things I need to change, like the explosions, but I'm off on holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow so I'll pick this thread back up when I return. (or if I get a chance later this evening)
