Does the entry need to be an exe, or can it be a HTML/JS with a readme file saying which browsers it can run under?

It must be a PC production

I think that Java is an acceptable platform.
Please bear in mind that it's going to be the whole forum that votes for the winners si if you're entering it is in your best interests to make the comp run on as many different pc's as possible.

Taj, you can use whatever you like mate, all I am saying is that you should test it on as many pc's as you can to make sure it gets a good audience.

I'm doing a software 3D multi-texture engine, so Taj, just go with whatever. I can't run most 3D stuff but I won't count anyone down in my votes for it.

But even if they don't, it's worth downloading Taj's cool intros if you have a pc at work that supports them because they are really worth seeing.

I like this intro very much and for many reasons.

I really think that twist effect is really top notch and a great piece of genius. And it's originality.
Also like the way some thought has gone into the layout / design of the text writter.
The music and gfx really suite it well.
