This site may be due for an overhaul.
Sometimes when a new security update for SMF is released and applied it causes incompatibility with one or more of the third party modifications that have been added to the board.
There are a lot of applied modifications here;

It's then a case of going throught the error log and tracking down the problem and then either fixing the offending modification or uninstalling it.
Actually some of the mods are so badly written that they will not uninstall anymore and patches of SMF need to be uninstalled back to the version that was active when the mod was installed to get rid of the mod.
I noticed a lot of errors on the forum error log, they were being caused by the ignore user mod.
One of the templates "display.php" was corrupted during the removal process.
It affected the giving of good and bad karma.
It could be no big deal, I have turned Karma off for now and the forum could go on like this forever, however.... Next time there is a security patch, it could get all frigged up again.
SMF 2.0 is on the horizon too.
So there are choices here for us to make now.
1: I can try and fix the karma problem (don't know if it's possible!).
2: Karma can be left switched off and we can carry on as we are.
3: Wait until SMF 2.0 and see if the upgrade sorts out the problem automatically.
4: Put the forum into mainanence mode, make a copy of the database and attachments dir, uninstall the whole forum and then re-install it with just the bits we need and get rid of any third party mod that is not essential.
I have a week off work so if there is going to be any change, now is the time.
I'd appreciate thoughts and opinions on this from everyone, it's your place after all.
