Paradox - Desert Strike cracktro
« on: October 12, 2007 »
Win32 Remake of the classic Paradox cracktro on Amiga
We once had a passion
It all seemed so right
So young and so eager
No end in sight
But now we are prisoners
In our own hearts
Nothing seems real
It's all torn apart

thanks to all for the apprciation here. It does not take long to remake these and also, after a couple of them, there is a lot of code reused. For example a sine scroller is always the same, only the frequency/period and amplitue changes... no big deal.

Anyway there are plans to have the code for all of them available soon. So other coders can get inspired and remake other cracktros as well. But I would like to clean the code first, so it can be comprehensive for beginners too.

Yes, and I can announce that the site and webhosting will be supplied and built by me.

This does not mean that Stormbringer would not post his remakes here or at Intro-Inferno any more, but rather that we thought that it was time to have a place for Win32 remakes as well, remake coding is an art in it's own right and provides a way for people who love oldschool cracktros to code them in a completely legal way :)
