Awesome and nice find, 9 of the best digital artists around. And it really takes me back to those demos that use a very similar effect used by The Black Lotus. How you'd do such an effect I wouldnt know.

How you'd do such an effect I wouldnt know.

Pretty simple in concept, you need a series of large pictures, each one containing  a smaller version of the next tile, you zoom in on them all in sequence, the amazing thing here is the artwork. :)

This is very cool!

The only thing that might have been done differently is adding the portals in different areas and then using a spline as the camera path to get from one to the next. Then again maybe the creator wanted to toy with linear infinity.
