Thats a really good copy of Doom :)
The only thing that bugs me a bit about it is that you can't straffe left and right.

Yup. That's a nice conversion. For ppl who are interested in -
it's done using an experimental technology by Adobe called Alchemy.
With this technology ppl should be able to convert C/C++ projects
faster and with less work to run on the FLASH platform.

Quote
Alchemy (formerly referred to as FLACC) is a project from Adobe that allows users to compile C/C++ code that is targeted to run on the open source ActionScript virtual machine (AVM2). The C/C++ code is compiled to AS3 as a SWF or SWC that runs on Flash Player 10 or AIR 1.5. Alchemy is primarily intended to be used with C/C++ libraries that have few OS dependencies. The generated content is within the security constraints of the AVM2, and cannot bypass Flash Player security protections.

On this topic, is there anywhere you can still get the original release of doom anywhere? I got a collectors addition of dooms 1+2 designed to be compatable with XP right out of the box, but in the process they appear to have removed WAD support, which is bollox as I was hoping to pay the famous aliens conversion. I want me some face-hugger blasting action.
I love semi-colons way too much ^^;

I think if you do a bit of searching on ID's site you can get them.
I bought a few years ago the original series of Duke Nukem when they were doing dos / shareware games and before being famous.
