Converting mp3 to ogg?
« on: December 31, 2011 »
Does anybody know a decent program for converting mp3 to ogg?

Of the 3 programs I tried, one put audio samples over the final ogg and the other 2 acted like malware!   :telloff:

Try either Audacity, which won't do a batch job, but will convert the files one at a time, or try Super, which converts most types of video / audio files into almost any other video / audio file type.

Audacity

Super Video Converter (The site it's on has the download link tucked away, but here is the installer)

OGGDROP
You may want to check out -> http://www.rarewares.org/ogg-oggdropxpd.php

BESWEET
Or if you want a all-in-one nice CLI then use http://dspguru.doom9.net/

I recommend BeSweet. This is what I use to transcode one format to another all the time.

or if you want to transcode * -> ogg only then use -> http://besweet.notrace.dk/OggMachinev0.62.zip

Thanks both! :)
I used Audacity as I use it for simple sound editing regularly, should've thought of that before...  :whack:

Just try Aimp  (www.aimp.ru) its a nice player like Winamp but 1000 times better! It has a Tool-Package with a very nice and comfortable converter from any format to ogg/wav/mp3...
- hp EliteBook 8540p, 4 GB RAM, Windows 8.1 x64
- Asus P5Q, Intel Q8200, 6 GB DDR2, Radeon 4870, Windows 8.1 x64
