It's that time of the year again, fellas. This time for something I hope to finish. Also, I am hosting a few live-stream
of me working on the game from time to time. If im not hosting live, you can watch my previous footage. I do it all live,
everything from pixel-art, to coding, to music tracking.

All of this is something I sure hope I can do alone, since I have some ideas for it which noone can help me with. There
is alot of personality from my own perspective that I am putting in it. The character might have personal relations to me, in a way and I want it to be a slight reflection of myself. Like a child, or whatever.

Build 2013-01-09:
Wow, time really does fly. Slightly more bugfixes. Saving and loading rooms / scenes work propertly now. Printing everything
to an optional debug-log now.

Build 2012-12-31:

New project name and logo. Changed to call the function of fading logo and then jump to regular gamecode calls.
Finally a name for the project.  Fixed previous screen stop to render if a new screen / scene / room is called.

Build 2012-12-27:

Made special "Room" functions for the current scene that is drawn. Now I can handle scene managment with ease. Setting the integer variable "gameRoom" to a desired number calls the desired scene. If a scene is called when it doesnt exists, it throws an error. Now I am working on introsequence with menu. Minor sprite improvements. Fixed clipping bug.

Note: Extra excuse for no new live-stream of me developing the game yet. I am waiting to fix a few things so you can watch the good and fun stuff and not me sitting around an hour fixing bugs.

Twitter updates at http://twitter.com/LarsTheIndieGuy

And of course my Twitch for live-stream game development at http://twitch.tv/synok12

You can post here, or on Twitter if you got any ideas for the game. It might turn into the game, if I think it's a good idea,
but as I said, I have some few ideas for it that I really want to put into it.

Edit: Forgot to add. If this game (which I hope not) will be discontinued, I might release the sourcecode for it on this site. Just so someone may take over it. But I will do my best for it to be done.

Thanks. It is nice to see some support, since if your alone making something, your motivation will draw quite quickly. And from time to time one might have thoughts questioning yourself why your are doing it, if you can make it, or so on. That is where the motivation comes in. To be kept motivated is the key of these kinds of things.

I know that feeling well. It really can be quite a challenge to keep yourself motivated on a personal solo project, especially when deep into debugging or polishing. This does look really interesting and I'm looking forward to seeing it as your progress. Best of luck :)

Thank you Raizor, but I cannot promise any update today. I am at a LAN party today with no-code rules  ::).

Yeah motivation really is key, what works for me is dividing a project into hard and mundane tasks. As my energy/motivation drops so does the difficulty of the task I'll work on. I find typing out simple stuff can be very relaxing (almost meditative) after breaking my brain on some elusive problem. Also having a few simpler projects aside to switch focus is great, like working on art or sound in between coding.

But nothing beats getting away from the screen entirely, even if all you can do is walk around the house/office. I tend to kick one of those huge fitness/yoga balls around the storage room. It's good excercise and a fun way to take your mind off things. :)

Thanks for the advice Kirl. I don't know about the yoga balls, but I believe a walk or two never killed anyone. I just tend to put all focus on it, and I can sit busy for a day at the computer just working on something.

Haha, I hear you, I still miss a night sometimes but as i aproached 30 I started watching my health a bit more. I find regular breaks and unrelated activities tend to increase productivity a lot! :)

Yeah, in the younger days of programming there was a few times I went away to visit some relatives where no internet connection at that time was available. All we did was go fishing, having a few meals together and talking about stuff. Then from nowhere, motivation and creativity strikes like a phoenix from the sky. Weird.
