A while ago. The only pointer I can give to you is you can get their attention by stamping on the ground, they can read the vibrations in the ground. Unfortunatly, I've forgotten just about everything else.
I love semi-colons way too much ^^;

My mother is deaf, I have chatted to you online Hotshot and I know that you are deaf, also I have a call on my delivery run where there is a deaf lady, she lip reads very well so as long as you look at her when you are talking to her there are seldom any problems in us understanding each other.

Fortunately my mother has got some new hearing aids which are very very good and have helped her a lot. They attach to studs that were put into her head just behind the ears, this means that she can still wear them when she gets a cold without suffering from ear infections.

I'm embarassed to say mostly by frantic waving and shouting, which I think is most people's method.  I did learn a bit of American Sign Language (the alphabet) but it's not much fun due to having to spell out each word in letters.

I have worked with a deaf person before when I was Cheffing and was a Kitchen porter, and could lip read pretty well so communicating wasnt that bad. And I can remember the moments were you make yourself look a fool by doing actions with your hands etc to try and best describe what you were on about. 90% of the time they understood, the other stuff I'd hear them laughing. Hehe.

Hotshot,

I dont know any deaf people except you. If its not rude, can you tell me how, if at all, you receive music from demos. I mean can you feel the bass or experience the music in any way?

I wear hearing aids to hear the sound or music that come out of the speaker but it would be harder for me to see if the demo match the music you know. I always put lots of different music to see if match my demo or ask my friends on what they think of music that match the demo.

Yeah we(deaf people) do that when I stamping on the ground to get their attention to me or sometime I shout at them to let them know that I am talking to them.

Happy new year to all   :updance:
