@Trantor:
Hey Trantor - welcome to the forums. Hope you like it here.
Since grahic effects programming is related to game programming - I
guess your question will fit in here!
Enjoy your stay!

thanks,

I'll be lurking in the shadows of this friendly place.
I try to do some c++/directx programming (and some C#/slimdx/directx) when time permits.

Currently building a bit of a demo engine thingy and trying some shader programming.

that's about it, i guess  :D

Hi i'm James
I've been posting now for a few days and just got round to putting up a post here. I'm 19 and I'm a second year student at the universty of hull studying Computer science with games development (MEng). I programed in C# 1st year and am learning C++ and prolog in the cause this year. So far I've made a basic game in c# with openGl and I've also been writing some xna games and I'm working on moving some of my stuff from C# to C++. My interests are Games and graphics programming(I'm not that good at either at the moment but hey we all have to start somewhere). Thanks for all the comments on the posts I've made so far and thanks to Jim for pointing me here hope to be here for some time to come.

Anywho thats me in a nutshell.

p.s. my grammar and spelling is awfull so my posts may not always be the easiest to read.

Hi all, I've been a member for a short while but haven't yet posted anything. The liquid challenge has me excited to see the results you all come up with! I plan to enter as well, be afraid! ;)

I've dabbled a bit in 3d, now I'm mucking around with programming, you can see some of my fumblings on my website ( www.kirl.nl ). I'm mostly familiar with javascript and actionscript. I love working in the browser because I can quickly try something out and share it with the world. No installs, no compiling, no trouble.

Then again no real cpu power either... :|

Anyhoo, hi all!
