Hi there. As Jon says I have been a busy bee with some BlitzMax projects. I am quite pleased with the result and so far a good handful of people have decided to see if its something they can use as well. I am busy working on some helper applications plus two addon modules, one handling particle emitters and another one to control buttons and player interaction.
I have been thinking about getting back to making some kind of demo/intro type stuff, but just haven't had the time lately. But I do expect that its something I might dabble with really soon though. I got a new place to live, a new job and a bunch of new equipment to play with. So its not like I don't know what to do with my sparetime

I was at some point thinking that this whole basic language demo thing was a thing of the past, but it looks like you are willing to breath life back into it, and I honestly wouldn't mind pitching in where I can.
I am sticking with BlitzMax which I think is a really great language to code with, and I am now using openGL as the render api, which have great potential for some really cool effects, once I get deeper into it. So far I have mainly focused on hardware accellerated 2D, but I have done a number of small test with 3D stuff as well and almost got my old Blitz vector library converted. I just need to work a little more on lights which is a tough thing to get right using openGL, well at least I think it is

Its interesting to see what you all are making with the various languages, and I will keep an eye out on what you are releasing. Due to time restraints I probably won't be posting much as I don't have too much time to surf the forums these days, but I will contribute if I feel that I have something worth sharing.
Best of luck with it all to everyone.
Cheers,
Johnny
