It was wierd. When I was downloading visualc studio I was using firefox. The computer crashed very badly, it took about 15 minutes to recover ( I didn't want to reset as the HD was being accessed ). I didn't think anything more of it, now the computer inadvertantly fails and the hd goes nuts.
I don't really want to install anything else on here at the moment, I am in the process of burning everything I need to CD so I can re-format the computer and start again.
I wouldn't like to say this for certain, but when I downloaded visual c from the site using IE7, I did not get the same problem.
I run Kaspersky anti virus with sig files up to date as of 8/3/7 so i don't have a virus, KAV is the best killer I know.
Anyway, the computer seems to be a little bit fucked up and that's the long and short of it!
Annoying as my installation of visual studio now works properly
