Im a fan of Italo Disco and Space Synth. Its the best genre ever I guess, everything is made with synthesizers just like it should be. These are not genres but the composing style, its also easy to create. I think MaktOne composes his chiptunes on this style too. Go and shearch for "Space Synth" or "Italo Disco" on youtube it will give you a clear view of the style.

Jean Michel I have heard some good stuff from him but there are better artists then him, the problem with italo disco artists is they used many artistnames for their music. I just downloaded a cd of him wich was pretty bad in my opinion, I think he rushed with his composing. Some of my favorite artists are Koto, Laserdance (a.k.a proxyon, area54, syntech, rygar and some I forgot), Ken Laszlo, K Barré, Max Him and or course Humphrey Robertson the guy behind Hypersound Productions.

Its a waste, the track of these days are nothing compared to the Italo Disco maybe the artists focusses more on the effect then on the composing style I guess.

But if you like Jean Michel jarre, then you will like Space Synth for sure.

I went to see them at Wembley 17 years ago, unfortunately we turned up late and missed NIN and only got to see Skid Row and GnR.

I put on here last night about the Rock & Roll Gods or Progressive Music Yes.  And I didn't see it today everybody needs to see them next year live Jon Anderson is ill right now, so they had to cancel the tour.  But if he is better next year they will tour you should see them if you like great Rock & Roll before they die they are getting older.  And even at their ages they still kick young bands asses out there now.

Take a look at the Albums by them like Relayer, Tales from Topographic Oceans, and Close to the Edge.  They are one of the first Bands who played really long songs and influenced Rush.  I’ve seen them many times during the 2000’s and they kick everybody’s Butt the only band close to them right now is Rush.  And I’ve seen them a lot last year in fact they are all good just the same for Yes they are all good musicians.

This is the Band below playing in 2003.

TBH when I hear Yes I always think Buck Rogers / Flash Gordan music. One of my close friends loves them and he has some great taste in music it might be his fault I dont rate them, he plays them all the time.

Hi music fans,

I've just found out albeit a little bit late, that in April 1st Velvet Revolver ( My Guitar Hero - Slash, Matt Sorum, Duff McKagen, Dave Krushner ) are splitting up with singer Scott Weiland ( formerly Stone Temple Pilots ). Not entirely sure if they are disbandoning completely as the band - Velvet Revolver; but to me it's sad news as they are a great Rock Band. And I wondered if anyone could shed some light, and confirm if this is in actual fact true, or an April Fools prank?

Cheers,
Clyde.

well...mainly I listen to psychedelic music, electronic and something played with real instruments, like kingstonwall or hidrian spacefolk...psy trance I like as well. but of course sometimes want to relax with some corny gangsta rap or corny reggae :D chill stuff I like well and also some really relaxed pop rock songs :D hippie country like jayhawks is also something for me and then I like some gospel music too...actually I like everything which I found somehow interesting :/

At the moment I'm listening to Aphex Twin, Springsteen, Squarepusher, Dinosaur Jr., Fugazi, Flaming Lips, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Husker Du.

Well that's not what I'm listening to at all, probably, but it's what comes to mind.

Nothing wrong with corny gangsta or reggae, sometimes you gotta laugh at the gangsta stuff and reggae is usually good for relaxing if it isn't *too* bad.

Listening to some Jayhawks now, thanks!
