DBF Project
« on: July 28, 2007 »
I was just wondering whether there would be enough interest on this board to start a group project. I've always wanted to participate in a Yabasic group project. I've seen many attempts on the old *cough* Ezboard froums, and I thought it would be great fun!

I don't know how many people still use Yabasic to be honest. It may end up being a small group! It would be good to see one of these things completed though.

Yeah I knew that their wouldn't be much Yabasic coders left! But, I would really like to make a group game... like the old days! lol.

I would really love to make an RPG. Maybe using your RPG Engine Shock!?

Firstly... Yah Spaced Invaders would need to be finished before I got on board though.

Coding is a serious business for some, alright. For others, it's too much work for so little gain.
And then there's people like me - a simple language for my own practical pleasure.
There's one thing (of many) I'd like to see done in YaBasic - O's and X's, with A.I
I got as far as a two-player board utilising the keyboard number pad while learning the language.

Have a Yahappy day.

I don't know what is wrong with the world - but I know how to fix it.

Yeah, I guess. It'll still be nice if there was a group project... I always imagined what it would be like to code a Yabasic project, with fantastic others... like the suggestions of the Ezboard Era.

--> Btw, what do you mean by O's and X's? Are you talking of a game?
