Vision Factory - Twintris cracktro
« on: September 02, 2007 »
Win32 Remake of the Vision Factory cracktro on Amiga
We once had a passion
It all seemed so right
So young and so eager
No end in sight
But now we are prisoners
In our own hearts
Nothing seems real
It's all torn apart

@stormbringer:
i love you, hehe... this is one of my top10 favourite crackto ever on the original amiga... some time ago i tried to recode it and after taking an extreme look and study how this interference fx may work, i finally got the point and have tried to code my first effect as standalone (test part)... I really like this crackto so much... i remember this one in front of USS John Young ^^ K++

I found my old executeable test version for such a interference effect like the original... You can play a bit with it... Just use the cursorkeys, a/q and the function keys... You can only change one direction (up/down or left/right) while the other value must be set to 1... Also if you want change the other value which is set to 1, you have to set your actually value back to 1... Its nothing special but it was just my first try how the fx could work by trying and finding it out myself ;)

@va!n: hehehe cool piece of code! the effect in the VF cracktro is much simpler and just uses the same pre-rendered bitmap into two different bitplanes. The top bitplane is simply shifted to the left and to the right using a sine table. The pattern used is simply concentric circles with a différence in the radius of 1 pixel. The interference effect is an optical illusion given by the Moiré effect of the pattern..
