Hello once again to all of you, and I have been SO busy over in recent months, working so hard on AFlib2 Remixed to bring you some of the BEST 2d game development ever in FreeBASIC.  So far, it is 97% complete, with only a few more routines to go as well as the brand-new documentation that I will begin doing to complete the lib for the first *official* public release on my site (http://aapproj.phatcode.net).

In the meantime, do have a look at the new screens to see how far I have gone in making this lib fully support all 15-, 16-, 24-, and 32-bit modes in FB:

And about the pixel-perfect (PP) sprite collision routine that I have been trying so very damn hard to implement into this lib, it took me around more than four (4) months to crack the code into getting it on successfully for at least all 24- and 32-bit graphics modes, but I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT at last... special thanks to Zamaster for his sprite collision code in FB v0.17b or newer (shown right here!), without which I would never have had a ghost of a chance at implementing it at all... wow!!!  :D !

As for the PP sprite collisions here, I will tell you right up front that they are 100% accurate right down to the bone, plus with a more powerful computer on hand (like say, a 2ghz AthlonX2 64 Dual Core computer like I have!!), you can do a whopping 10,000 collision checks without slowing it down an inch... yep, I found that out for myself now!!  ;)  And you are ABSOLUTELY welcome to use this lib in creating your next great FreeBASIC demo, too!!!

If you have expericenced the original 8-bit AFlib2 in FB back in 2005, then you will see how much of an improvement I have made indeed, you know?  :trans:

Look, since I am a very generous man (even after SUCH busy work at judging the many entries of the recent Shmup-dev competition found at http://shmup-dev.com/op2k72/), I will be honored to let you all try out my very latest preview version of AFlib2 Remixed right here for use with FreeBASIC v0.17b or newer:

       â€¢ AFlib2 Remixed (Developing Preview ver 0.97b)

...and this .ZIP includes some examples for you to study from to help get you started on this lib!!

Thank you awesome ladies and gents, and your 2d games and demos in FB will NEVER be the same again, I promise!!!

Magic to hear from you again Adigun :)

The lib looks excellent, really good stuff.
In the future at some point I will probably be writing another game and those pixel perfect collisions would definately save me the hassle of making my own routines :)

Have some nice karma.
