I can't attend the event, which is a slight setback according to those rules.
I wonder if it's allowed if I gave the work to someone who was attending? or does the designer
of the demo have to be present.

Personally i think this is absolutly fair and i agree the rulez. Because i dont like nor really support it, when people are releasing compo-productions at parties (submitted by friends/contacts) and if the creater(s) are not present at the party. It cant be fair when the guys at the party are paying money and people not presenting at the party are winning prices (without supporting the party/price money). Sorry, however i would like to see much "funny/good" productions as possible... this is just my personally opinion.

not really sure atm if me will be there too or not this year... the reasons for this are following:   weather here is announced to be snow and ice, which would really suxx... however today we had here some snow-rain :(

another point are the costs (i have to pay some high invoices and law costs i got by post today)... and at least i am very demotivated of some actual things happens, like HD crash and finishing a project for the BP where i am working alone on, instead with the help of a friend (teamwork) as planed in the past...

However i would like to come with my girlfriend to the party... we will see how the weather will go on... if there will be no snow and ice, i think we will still come to the party... otherwise we possible will not arrive when its snowing and ice... sorry for this news
