Atrium was nice... but to be honnest, what I liked in atrium is more the beginning than the end: the rythm, the sync with the music... something different. When it simply came to build the actual atrium... well it fell down to nice technical effort to me and lost a bit of interest.
Again, that's my opinion... but what I like in demos/intros is not necessarily technical achievements.
I rather prefer classic effects but with a catchy tune, well banced, etc. I mentioned the word "entertainment" on II. Looks like I'm the only one with my definition of what entertainmnt is. Seriously the 4k by RGBA was a nice technical demonstration, but if I want to "watch" it, I just watch the JPEG file they give with the archive, same effect, same waiting time.. so sorry for me this is not somthing I will watch very often, maybe never again, I've seen better (procedural) pictures and stoppped being aroused by fractals at the age of 15.
After this disaster I watched again Mental Hangover from Slayer/Scoopex. Man... this is what I call a demo! Nothing extraordinary really in there, except it's fu**ing entertaining.
I guess you got my point
