very cute one! real cracktro style and as usual 1:1 remake!

I think the original was coded by Galahad/Fairlight ;)
We once had a passion
It all seemed so right
So young and so eager
No end in sight
But now we are prisoners
In our own hearts
Nothing seems real
It's all torn apart

Yes, the intro was originally coded by me. :)

Thanks for converting it, took me about 10 minutes to write it.  Some of the notes aren't played quite right, but other than that, a spot on conversion.

@rain_storm:
That kind of message was rather common in those days. Reason
for that was that people realized how important the game factory
was for their computer systems.

If game factory doesnt earn enough for their game titles because
no-one buys it anymore (because of cheap cracks) - it is not
worth to produce new games. Computer systems like the C64er
and the Amiga e.g. was so wide spreaded because of their enter-
taining site. So, no games means less/no users -> End of the hard-
ware.

In the early days game companies didnt release demo versions of
their games - that's why cracker groups claimed that it was a good
thing to make games available as cracks in order that ppl can test
games before they spend money for them. They argue that this
would force game companies not to sell crap games.

Furthermore, most crackers did cracks as a personal challenge.
They never intended to harm the game industries - well if they
did or not - that's another discussion. However, that's why those
slogans arised in the past.

@Galahad:

Yo - greetings - are you still active concerning demo/cracktro coding?

I've released a few games in the past years that were never 100% cracked first time around (Dragons Breath, Exile etc).

Photon of Scoopex is writing me a new cracktro, as I intend to re-release a few other cracks that were not done properly.

Most of my energies up until recently were directed toward WHDLoad (www.whdload.de)

Coincidence or what?

I am remaking a flt intro now for the game scene charts, I think they got an interview with someone from flt.

Screen shot attached :) I guess you will easily tell which one I am re-making even though this is early in the process.

The game scene charts:

(I coded the mag from issue 16 onwards)

@WidowMaker: nice initiative! Would it be possible to have a remake of this classic FLT intro for the retro-remakes.net portal?

I'd be happy to do that.

I have finished the intro, here's a screen shot:
Problem I have is that if you want the Amiga version of this, you need to give me the sc68 version of the song :) I am using the original sid in this one.

And by the way, thanks for the wonderful job on making tinysid work!
