Shit, sorry Shockwave I hit the wrong button and thought I was removing an accidental quote.  :-[

I don't have either system so I cannot comment on the game. Not all games benefit from convincing physics however because many key elements of games are not physically accurate. Many people have tried to add simple inerta to shmups for example rendering them almost unplayable (points fingers at British developers making euroshmups). Realism is usually only valid if you want to play a scenario in a real world setting. It is exciting to see simulations go well, but some games are best left as an impossible escape from the reality.

My friend picked me up a copy first thing yesterday morning I was playing it most of yesterday evening. The graphics are an improvement but I was hoping for a little more tbh. the trees have a bill board look to them from a distance.
the driving took me a while to adjust to. You are forced to give it the old  'scandinavian flick' to take even the slightest bend at any speed. Love the aiming system though

+1 on the driving.
I was thinking "eugh, mate have yo ugot a dodgey copy of this or something?" *Played at my mates earlier*
Got used to that easily enough though.
The graphics aint much better from San Andreas.
Must admit, the best improvment is when you crash, IE flying through the windsheild.

I've got it on the PS3, graphics not much better than san andreas architect? I definitely disagree there. The graphics in GTA games have always been a bit rough and GTA4 doesn't have quite the same solid look to them as drakes fortune but still very good and the amount of detail throughout the city is amazing although the LOD changes are noticable but very little popup.
I've played through a few missions but not really that far into the game and there's not much going on yet but I imagine that'll change and I think there's going to be more of a storyline to this than in previous games.
I much prefer the wanted system in this now, you get a circle on the map centred on the last position you were seen by the police. The higher your wanted level, the bigger the circle and if you manage to get out the circle without being spotted you've escaped.

Yeah I love that wanted system its so much better if you switch cars without being seen then drive slowly around they may not recognise you so you can give them the slip without leaving the circle too. I am very happy with the AI I was driving around awhile ago and I hit into the back of some one, they started driving like a deamon I got ahead of them but there was a cop car straight ahead so I slowed down and pulled in behind them. The deamon driver slammed into the back of me and I went straight into the back of the cop car. The driver started to speed away and the cops followed him instead that was really cool. Also when a cop tries to bust you it gives you just a second to pull out a gun and shoot your way out of it. Its funny watching Nico going from hands in the air to natural born killer at a moments notice

As you might have guessed, I have been playing this pretty solidly, Jim this is something you definately should own.

I won't put any spoilers here but as the game opens up it just gets better and better. Sure, the 360 has better looking games, but really, there is nothing that plays as well as this. I am even used to the driving now, it was tricky at first but now I am really enjoying just having a blast around the city :)

If you don't own this, you should buy it. Rockstar deserve the sales and the game engine is brilliant!

And P_O I forgive you for deleting my post!

Yeah I thought I had accidentally hit the quote button and so I deleted what I thought was a quote. Then typed my message and then posted. Seeing it was not a quote, and I had saved over your message I had to delete what I wrote.

I flew my first Helicopter in GTA 4 today :) It was a moving experience and those who think the graphics are not as good as they could have been, well I thought the same but wait until you see it from the air!

Just ordered it from Amazon.co.uk.  They won't deliver outside Europe so it has to go to my mum's house first, so I should have it by June sometime!

There was one "copy" left in my firend's shop...no clue why I did not ask him first hehe....anyway, that game is really a good one.  Graphics are improved and yes, I'm addicted to the game hehe...I realy enjoy the multiplayer by the way, it's really great.

for people who have XBOX 360 on GTA 4. I want to know if there is any problem such as screen freezing? I guess there are some pop up when u drive through the city.
Let me know how you rate GTA 4 on XBOX 360 so far.

cheers
