« on: June 21, 2008 »
Hiya all,

I have install my friend`s Playstation 3 Linux(yellow dog) and it is was interesting seeing Linux on the screen.
When you used the mouse to click then you will see lists of menu such as Applications and so on.
It could be lots better than Window XP !

I dont know if is the best Linux on Playstation 3 but there are quite few different Linux for PS 3 I think

I put Fedora 9 on mine.  It took forever to install.  The X Windows experience is very poor, but I'm quite excited about one day being able to write for the multi-core SPUs.  I've been working on a project in Windows which allows me to break down and farm-out image processing jobs, with the intention of being able to port it to PS3.

<edit> Actually, it was Fedora 8, which means I'll need to update everything.  Again. :(

is Fedora 8/9 is better than Yellow dog?

The Linux os is rather different and it is refreshing to see it instead of rather boring window but still everyone is different.

It's all just Linux kernel with a different flavoured wrapper...
