I going to try and make this one as I have never been to a demo party either. Thinking of making a weekend of it with the family. They can go to the coast whilst I go to the party!?!?!? Hope to see you there then Nick, I can then buy you some pints!

It was really nice to talk to RC55 on the phone earlier on today.

This says a lot about this party, the organisers are friendly. People really need to support guys like this who do something positive for the good of the rest of the scene.
Europe has got its quota of big events, we just don't have that any more in the UK.

I remember the parties in the early 1990's in the UK. There would be 100+ maybe 200 people at some of them. Especially if the invite was well spread..
These days the information comes to you more readily, parties have a website, most people in the scene are grown up now and have cars and a little bit of money so there should be better attendance.

and if that's not enough, RC55 generously offered a fiver off the entrance fees for people who are signed up here.

So here's my request! I have not been to a demo scene party since 1992, I have never met the people that will be in Exeter this September, it would be really nice if I could see some of the people here when I visit the party!

Seriously folks, please support this party if you can because it will get better and better each year the more people who come to it and maybe will attract even more of the European guys too if it gets big enough. :)

Who? What? Where? When?

Where would I see announcements and stuff for this?  It sounds like the sort of thing I'd love to attend but I'd need to plan ahead.

[EDIT] Google is your friend ;)

That looks pretty cool.  Never been to a demo party myself so I'll probably try and make it along.  Depends on being able to get some time off work though since it's the other end of the country.

I'm jealous - no time/money to join you on this party.

However, I am looking forward to see some winning production by
members of this forum  ;)

Shockwave: We have a linking image if you want to put it on the site:

It might be worth writing in small text underneath it about the DBF Discount, or linking to this thread directly. :)

Why dont you check the trains Hotshot? You could probably get a good deal if you buy your tickets early enough.
